Tell me what happens
When you put a human heart through a printing press?
Blood stained letters drip into a new alphabet
Self-excitable cells smeared across the page
Intrinsic contraction rhythm dances syncopation
Lungs now gasping for the breath to speak
The words that have been written
Numb hands tear out pages
And the fire begins the burn
Letters turn into smoke
And feeling begins to return
The flickering flame reveals tear-stained eyes
Two strangers, hand-in-hand, begin to dance
Emboldened by the blazing splendor
Sternums cracked, the heart’s expanse
Whirling dervish dancers
Tell me what happens
When you put a rainbow through a printing press?
Tell me what happens when you put Geoff in a printing press?
